FROM HERE TO THERE CURATED

SAN DIEGO, CA

It started with Wine, doesn’t it always….

During a spontaneous lunch in Hollywood we decided to take a trip to San Diego. The following day we headed South Bound, stopping by a neighboring town Carlsbad. I had never visited Carlsbad, turns out it’s a charming beach community just before downtown San Diego. Our carefree spirit influenced our decision to stay, explore shops, eateries and meet some cool inspiring folks.

Because this is From Here to There Curated here’s a guide of “In the Know” spots from locals of the community and approved by me.

But first, coffee @HighlyLikely Cafe , West Adams now….lets start with my look for this trip…...Effortless, Bohemian and Refined. I’m wearing vintage Levi Orange tab, vintage Ted Lapidus textured poet top, by James suede sandals, global rings and tote from Todos Santos, Mexico. I love to blend traveled artisan goods with vintage. The neutral palette keeps it cool, perfect for travels.

Vintage by Carny Couture. Sandals by James purchased in Todos Santos, Mexico.

The First Stop was Succulent Cafe a super cute shop filled with of course succulents. This is a good spot to enjoy coffee and pastries seated outdoor, nestled in a garden of greens.

Jean Genie

If you love Vintage Levis like I do, Jean Genie is the best of the best. Cassidy is a Denim Expert who customizes the jean to you. There are about 100 Vintage Levi, Made in America jeans to choose from.. Please stay connected with In the Know, I will be highlighting Cassidy and sharing style tips on how to get the best fit for your jean.

FRIENDS OF FRIENDS

If you’re in the market for a great hat this is the spot for you. A great assortment of hats by the Hat Co., my favorite are the natural ones offered in several shapes. This store is reminiscent to The General Store in L.A. While hats are primary, the selection of candles, soaps, and ceramics from independent creatives are great. A special thanks to Amy for being so welcoming and leading us in the right direction.

Revolution Roasters

Next door to Friends of Friends sits a great coffee shop to recharge.

Sea Hive- An indoor Flea Market with a wide selection of vintage goods from accessories, apparel and home goods.

Carruth Cellars-This was a great discovery strolling through town. Carruth Cellars is nice urban winery, the vibe is casual and inviting. I suggest sitting and enjoy some wine, cheese and crackers.

Campfire gather around a campfire and celebrate good eats and cocktails.

Here are more tips from locals in the community.

We traveled a little further south to La Jolla, a beautiful surf community on the Coast.

We stopped for some late night dessert and Espresso at LA Dolce Vita Ristorante, where we ate homemade Tiramisu. To top it off a nice Coastal View in Torrey Pines.

Torrey Pines is a great place for a hike because of its gorgeous views and beautiful sunset.
